New Solicitor Advocate means quartet including QC appearing for Beltrami & Co
MORE lawyers from Beltrami & Co can now appear in the higher courts than any other Scottish criminal law firm outside Edinburgh.
The qualification of Alan Gravelle as Solicitor Advocates means the firm has four lawyers at this level - Alan, Gary McAteer, Simon Whyte and Murray McAra, who has the distinction of also being 'Queen's Counsel' .
The Solicitor Advocate title is only awarded to a select group of lawyers - currently 88 in Scotland in total for criminal work - based on their experience of contentious cases, and legal skills as tested through professional qualifications based on real-life scenarios.
The combined experience and skills of Alan, Gary, Simon and Murray will maintain Beltrami & Co's reputation as a Grade One criminal law firm, acting in some of Scotland's most complex cases.
