Lewis graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a First Class Honours Scots Law with English Law LLB in 2021, and obtained his DPLP from the University of Edinburgh in 2023.
Lewis joined Beltrami & Co. as a trainee solicitor in September 2023.
Lewis’s current case load with the firm is primarily civil work but he has gained experience in criminal matters since joining.
Upon graduating in 2021, Lewis shadowed Iain Mitchell KC for two years and was given a great insight into a variety of legal areas including defamation, GDPR, employment law, and technology law. This experience saw Lewis shadow at a number of courts across the UK. Through this, Lewis also conducted work for a number of legal groups including the European Association of Lawyers, the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe, and WhistleblowersUK. Since starting at Beltrami & Co., Lewis has joined the legal panel of WhistleblowersUK on a volunteer basis where he works on whistleblowing cases, drafting legislation, and organising events.
